What is an Ops Officer?

It is inherent in the heart of every man
– the burning desire for significance. No man wants to consider his effort in life to be irrelevant or meaningless. He will work diligently to find some significance in his sweat and sacrifice. Having the vision to recognize the battle, finding the wisdom to train effectively and the courage to fight valiantly is critical in our search for significance.

Building spiritual men of influence is not limited to middle and high school boys.  Giving men the opportunity to involve themselves in meaningful ministry is way to influence men for Christ and help them them find the significance God has for them.  “Operations Officer” has been a generic term in MOI to identify the adult leaders and mentors who are active in the program.  However, there are numerous and various positions available to be filled by Operations Officers.  Join the fight.

Ops Officer School (OCS).  The OCS is a program of instruction consisting of 8 missions that teaches men who are interested in becoming involved in MOI the vision, purpose, and structure of MOI.  For more information on how to bring this training to your church or group, contact MOI Central Command.

Ops Officer Guides (OOG).  The OOG is the leader’s manual for the training phase education material.  In addition to providing an introductory overview, tips, and terminology for the training phase, the OOG gives a detailed description of the subject, objective, and tactics for each weekly mission.  While the Training Level Company Commander is responsible for coordinating the preparation and presentation of the weekly missions, each Ops Officer should have an OOG to be aware of the purpose of each mission and become better prepared for their supporting role in that initiative.  Training Level OOGs can be found in the Training Materials Department of the PX.

Officer's Club.  The Officer's Club is a place for MOI Ops Officers to find ideas, encouragement, assistance, and practical information on how to serve more effectively as a front line Ops Officer.  To enter the Officer's Club, CLICK HERE.
